About Aubrey

Aubrey is one of those rare species with both sides of the brain always busy. She has a B.A. in Biology, a B.F.A. in Painting and in 2012, after thirteen years of working in hearing research and participating in art shows on the side, she became certified as a textile and surface designer. She was quickly snatched up by a small freelance team in Los Angeles creating home furnishing collections for high-end interior design firms and spent several years there.

Aubrey may have studied as a painter, but sewing was the gateway drug to her discovery of textile and surface design. In fact, she and her husband Robert have a spectacular collection of homemade pajama bottoms that they cycle through on a regular basis.

She also loves Sci-Fi, woodworking, roller skating, British telly, baking and cooking… though if you invite her to dinner, you should know that cilantro and olives make her gag.

Aubrey claims that her son Charlie is her most beautiful creation to date, but promises that your design will be a darn close second.

She has legitimately slipped on 3 banana peels in her life and will be happy to provide photographic proof of said peels.

Lastly, and maybe most importantly, Aubrey firmly believes that tights are not pants… unless you’re British, of course.
